Hello everyone...:) I hope you all have had a great day! Mine was pretty good.....today was the last day of testing at school! Woo! Hoo! I am so glad it's over! After work I came home and took some photos of my son for his graduation announcements. He didn't care about ordering the traditional invitations, which was fine with me since they are overpriced. We're doing photo invitations instead. We took several shots this afternoon and I have been playing around with my favorites on PicMonkey. I am sharing them here to get your thoughts before I have them printed. This is what I have put together so far for the announcements/invites!
Of course I'm not finished with the wording yet, but what do you think? He didn't want anything fancy or girly as he would call it. He likes what I did and I think I do too. I took most of the photos at my Aunt Loretta and Uncle Jim's place (which was my Granny Willie Mae's old place) in front of the old corn crib (an old shed that used to be used to store feed for the animals). I love the aged wood and it was the perfect choice for my country boy...:)
Here are a few others I really liked but didn't make the cut!
Hard to believe my baby is graduating soon and turning 18 just a few days later. Where did all those years go? Have a blessed day my friends and thanks for stopping by!
Until next time.....
Great pictures. I hope your week is going well!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you!
Wonderful photos and yes they do grow up so fast!

Bittersweet moments for sure. Love that you are doing his invitations yourself. That's always the best way. So personal. Fun shots you got and good for him going along with it. It was always hard to get my kids to let me do their pictures. I was thinking the same thing just the other day about where the moments went when my own kids were graduating and suddenly my oldest is now 26. Where did the moments go, indeed!

Hi Vicky..
ReplyDeleteOur sons are very photogenic. :0)
You did a wonderful job on the pictures. I agree the invitations are definitely overpriced, as I recently bought them... eeek! I love how you are making them personal and including senior photo's as the invite - great idea!
Also love the old shed in the background, I took my son's senior photo's, and I took some of him in front of an old barn and they are some of my favorites!
Have a wonderful evening!
