Well, it's been a Monday! I am brain dead from training for Florida's FCAT computer based test training! UGH! I am so happy to be home and relaxing for a bit before I go for my evening walk. Today I am sharing my first ever tablescape! I had such fun putting it together over the weekend using mostly thrifty treasures! I don't have a lot to work with yet, but I will be collecting more linens, napkin rings, and plates as I do my thrift shopping!
Have a look.....
What do you think? I think it turned out so pretty and perfect for spring. Even my husband commented on how pretty the table looked and he usually doesn't notice anything unless I point it out! Any tips would be appreciated!
I also redecorated the buffet. I took the Easter decor down last week, but didn't get it redecorated until over the weekend. I'm not thrilled with it, but it will do for now. I was tired when I did it and just got it to the point of good enough!
The pears look like reflectors in a couple of photos....weird!
Ok.....so, you may be wondering about the feathered friend I mentioned in the post title! Well, today we had a visitor hanging out on the school campus all day! Every time anyone went outside to the courtyard area, he (or she) was there.....just strutting around and hanging out! This visitor was a homing pigeon! I don't know where it came from, but it had tracking bands on it's ankles (does a pigeon even have ankles...lol). It was the prettiest thing....see for yourself!
The iridescent purple and teal colors on it's head and neck were so pretty in the sunlight!
I wonder if it will still be there tomorrow? Anywho, that's it for today....I am pooped! I am heading out for a walk, coming home for a shower, and then crashing in the recliner (yes, we have an ugly but oh so comfy recliner) while I catch up on reading your blogs! Thanks so much for stopping by and y'all come back! I love your visits and comments....:)
