I thought I would share some of the items I have bought in the past week. I visited two of the local consignments in my town and found some really nice things! Most of the time I just look at home decor and kitchen items, but I decided to check out the clothes on this trip. I found some really nice tops! This first one is Michael Kors. It is a beautiful grey, short-sleeved sweater....$3.
This next one is a pretty shade of green and white and reminds me of spring...$2.
This one has a really pretty design and color....shades of green, blue, white, and black....$2.
This pretty turquoise top is from Lane Bryant...$3.
I love the pinks and greens in this $3 top...:)
All of them were like new and the best thing is all together they cost less than one would normally be!
This next photo is a bathing suit cover-up I bought for the fabric. It is a sheer white with this pretty design in it. I thought it would make a beautiful valance! I think it was $2.
I thought this little gold-trimmed dish was pretty...$2.
I already had this cup and saucer, but I got the little stand for $1.
This large, white ceramic vase was normally $3, but I got it for $2.40. It's about 12 inches high!
The cut-out design is really pretty...:)
I have been collecting white dishes and these 2 plates were just $1 each.
I love this little platter....it was just $1! I see a paint job in it's future...:)
This set of 6 white, ceramic plant markers was $2. They will be pretty in some pots of herbs or flowers in my craft room window!
I couldn't pass up this pretty coffee cup for $1!
Or this precious, vintage recipe box complete with blank recipe cards. Only $2...:) I see a paint job in it's future too!
My last thrifty find is a book for my Nicholas Sparks collection...for $1.50. I have most of his, but am still looking for a few...:)
My sweet hubby brought home a little treasure for me the other day. He works for the city and they were digging somewhere to put in a new water line or something, and they dug up this little jewel. It's about 5 1/2 or 6 inches tall and has raised lettering on the front that says Eagle. I did a little research on it and found that is is an old soda bottle by Eagle Bottling Works. They were in business from 1909-1959. Soda used to come in smaller bottles so that explains the size. It's just so cute! I found one just like it on ETSY for $25. I'll be keeping mine though...:) I wonder who drank that bottle of soda and how it ended up where it did. Fun to think about...:)
Great finds! Can't believe the score with the mini soda bottle. I love it when I find great 2nd hand clothes.
ReplyDeleteI have an adorable red/white flower summer dress that I had on one day when I had an appt. with my female oncologist. It was a St. Vinney's treasure for about $5 or $6. Doc commented on it and wanted to know where I bought it. I said "lined, key hole back, yada yada" then told her I got it at St. Vinney's. I think she didn't know what to say because she got really quiet. I'm pretty sure oncologists don't shop for 2nd hand clothes :)
Too funny....I'm pretty sure they probably don't! It always thrills me to get a great deal on like new clothing. Sometimes they are still brand new with tags! Thanks for stopping by and visiting..:)Blessings, Vicky
ReplyDeleteAll fabulous finds! I have found several very nice womens' blazers for work at my local Goodwill... and, like you, sometimes I buy something just for the fabric! Buying a curtain panel or a sheet or a tablecloth for $3 (or often less!) is a great way to get a nice large chunk of fabric for any number of projects! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I do that often too...my laundry room curtain is a tablecloth and my craft room closet curtain is a tablecloth and part of a shower curtain. The valance in my craft room is part of a sheet! It is a great way to get a large piece of fabric for next to nothing. Clothing fabric is often unique patterns and prints too!
DeleteYou enjoy your weekend as well...:)
