Happy almost Spring everyone! I looked it up and the first official day of spring is Wednesday, March 20th! Down here in Florida though, we have had spring weather since Christmas with the exception of a few really cold days! The poor trees and flowers are so confused...lol! Anywho, I wanted to share my buffet all decked out for spring! Those of you who know me know I love to go thrifting and my spring decor features lots of the thrifty treasures I have collected over the past couple of years.
I used a vintage green and white gingham check sheet as a runner of sorts. It is a bright spring green and looks nice with my decor....at least I think so! This first vignette contains almost all thrifty finds. The tulip box was a find last year. On top of the box sits a bunny I have had for quite some time. He recently got a coat of white paint....he used to be mint green. The small white bunny also got a paint job...she used to be metallic pink! The apothecary jars got a little bright green paper grass and some Easter decor as well. The little glass basket is one of my many treasures from my Aunt Loretta. She has given me so many things over the years!
This next vignette has a couple pieces of my white ironstone I have been collecting. I wrote on the plate with a dry erase marker. The sweet little bunny is actually a teapot by Royal Albert in the Old Country Roses pattern. I found it at one of the Tallahassee Goodwill's last year for $3 I believe. I could not believe my good fortune when I spotted it and made a beeline straight for it before someone else snatched it up! I could not believe the price either! The bell shaped cloche covers a pretty floral porcelain egg that was a thrifty find last year as well!
The last vignette features my white pitchers....two are thrifty finds and the one on the small tulip box was a TJ Maxx find...which I consider a thrifty find as well! A sweet little egg shaped tin sits atop the small pitcher in front. A glass bunny candy dish sits to the left waiting to be filled with a yummy Easter treat! I almost forgot the cute little lamb in the big white pitcher. He is covered in white petals so I figured I would add him to the pink flowers in the pitcher since I couldn't decide where else to put him!
Here is everything together. I know it's not perfect, but it makes me happy....:)
This sweet little vignette sits on my ice cream parlor table. The silver tray was a gift from my Aunt Loretta (big surprise I know...;)!) I just added some of my old decor in the bright colors I always think of when I think of Easter. I just can;t bear to part with some of the things I have had forever!
I love these glass eggs I bought at the Dollar Tree several years ago. I wish I had more of them!
And one last picture...:) I thought I would share some real eggs....fresh from my mama and daddy;'s chickens! I love having fresh eggs and love the beautiful brown color of the eggs! I am planning to make some sheet music covered eggs to display in my little egg crate. Hopefully I will get to it...I only have like 137 projects I have either started or need to start! I seriously need to make a list and get to work!
I hope you enjoyed my thrifty spring decor! I am linking up with.....
