Thrifty Treasures

Hello there! I'm so glad you stopped by for a visit!
Please help yourself to a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie and check out my latest thrifty finds!

I've been piddling around the house this week, working of small projects and cleaning and reorganizing my craft room a bit. Today I needed a break and decided to ride with my parents and nephews to see a movie. We watched the movie and then went to the Goodwill before lunch. I found a few really great things!

First up is a vintage sheet for my collection. I fell in love with the beautiful roses and scroll pattern on this one. I normally only buy pillow cases, but I couldn't resist this one! I'm saving all my vintage sheets and pillow cases for a future quilt project, but I am planning to make a bunting with them soon. I have enough to make a few quilts and buntings!

I picked up these two like new Ikea shelf brackets for $2.16 each.

Have a seat in my new chair! You might now fit though....lol! See it sitting on the porch railing? Isn't it cute? I am going to give it a fun colorful paint job and it will sit on my new porch and hold a potted plant. I just love it! It was $3.16.

I've been collecting these metal flower pots for a couple years now. I have several to pot flowers in when we get the new porch built! This one was $1.16.

You may remember me showing you the ice cream cone vase on the left a couple weeks ago. Well, today I found a matching bowl. These are going to be adorable on my desk at school for my new sweet treats theme! The tall one can hold pens and pencils and the short one will probably hold paper clips.

I was thrilled to find two sets of vintage glasses. This first set has two shades of green vines and leaves on them. They will look so pretty in a tablescape.

This set has  aqua blue flowers with pink centers and blue green leaves. I love both sets and can't wait to use them in tablescapes. They were $1.16 each.

This Goodwill is a little pricier than some but I love the go in there when I'm in Crystal River, which isn't very often.

Well, I'm glad you stopped by! I need to get back to work. I have a new project  starting tomorrow. Our washing machine decided to kick the bucket and we are getting a new washer and dryer, so we decided to go ahead and do the remodeling in the laundry room while there's no washer and dryer in there. It's a small room so hopefully it won't take too long. I am excited to get it done. Have a wonderful rest of the week! Hopefully I will be back to share my craft room updates soon.

Until next time.....

  10. Looks like you hit the Goodwill on a good day! I have a chair just like your mini one that I got in the 80's. I have a bunch of old sheets that you have inspired me to try and make a bunting with!

  11. Great finds!!! It is great that you found sets of glasses, I only ever seem to see odd singles. Shame about the washer, but it is good that you can proceed with the remodelling! xx
