Seems like Ive been seeing a lot of aqua lately. That's OK by me since it's my favorite color! I thought I would share some of the aqua. First up is Sadie Lou's new aqua blue collar. I had to buy this for her when I spotted it. I love aqua and red together. Speaking of my Sadie....she now weighs 57 pounds.....and she's not quite 7 months old! She is still a sweetie though and she thinks she's a chihuahua because she loves to leap into our lap and lay down...:) We have to brace ourselves when we see her getting ready to jump!
Love this girl!
Next up is the mail sorter I shared yesterday. I bought it over the weekend for $1. I found several on Etsy going for $25-$30....both in original condition as well as painted. I think I got a great deal!
The brown certainly wasn't working for me, but I love it in it's new shade of aqua.
I've been trying to reorganize in my craft room/office and this will work nicely on my desk.
I love this $2 aqua blue vase I bought at the Dollar General last summer. It has such pretty detailing on it.
And it looks beautiful filled with camellias from my sister's bush.
This aqua blue bowl holds a delicious serving of the Strawberry Pretzel Jello Salad I made for my friend Shelleen's birthday over the weekend. It's the same recipe I made last week for a strawberry cook-off at school. I won by the way! It is heavenly! You can get the recipe here if you want to try it. I highly recommend it....the pretzel crust is amazing!
My thrifted number tiles aren't aqua but they are sitting on some pretty aqua blue fabric in my craft room.
Last is this adorable little vintage rainbow with aqua trimmed clouds. I fell in love with this at the Goodwill a couple weeks ago and it had to come home with me to live in my craft room.
It was just $1 and it makes me smile...plus, it takes me back to my Care Bear days!
I loved those little bears.....still do!
So.....what's your favorite color?
I hope you all had a wonderful Monday. I enjoyed my day off today and as always, I could use another, but it's back to work tomorrow! Hope you all have a blessed and beautiful week!
Until next time....
The mail sorter is quite chic in its new color as is Sadie Lou in her new collar. Love the number tiles and the blue vase. turquoise ( a close cousin to aqua!) is my favorite color. And, btw, where is my dessert? Remember the challenge I gave you.
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with the mail sorter! I love aqua also and have some tablescapes with that color.
ReplyDeleteVicky, I love Aqua! I haven't quite figured out how to add it to my home...yet! Love the mail sorter painted! It makes the design pop also. Your 'puppy' cracks me up! My brother always had large dogs that thought they were small lap dogs! So funny!
ReplyDeletehugs and enjoy the rest of your week. Linda

ReplyDeleteThe rainbow reminds me of Rainbow Brite - remember her? ( my daughter's were obsessed with the care bears btw - absolutely obsessed )
ReplyDeleteI LOVE aqua and red ( even in my colorless world lol )

I am loving the color aqua too! The mail sorter will be wonderful in your craft room. I have one I use in my sewing room for rulers. You find the best deals! I love the rainbow :)

Aqua is one of my favourite colours, and your mail sorter turned our just gorgeous! Those number tiles are awesome too. That strawberry dessert looks delicious, and red looks just fabulous with aqua.
ReplyDeleteAqua is one of my favorite colors too Vicky... as can be seen by my vintage trailer that is all aqua'd out! lol!
ReplyDeleteIf you decide to set up a little St. Patty's display that rainbow would be cute in there somewhere!
I'm itching to do some craft room rearranging and organizing as well, in fact last night I was surfing Pinterest looking for some inspiration!
