I did it! I finally finished a little project I started a few weeks ago. You may remember me sharing this dish towel last month. It came with another one that I purchased to use as a table runner. I immediately envisioned this one to be a tote bag. So....that's what I made with it.
I wanted a coral colored fabric to line it with and was lucky to find this piece with silver dots on it at JoAnn's. I love it!

I bought a piece of rope at JoAnn's and some coral colored grosgrain ribbon to complete the bag. I really like how it turned out. I will probably use it on my upcoming cruise to carry my camera, money, and book around when we are out and about.
The hubby wanted to know why I didn't put the knots on the inside where they wouldn't show. Silly man...lol! I told him I like the knots and they go with the nautical theme...:)
Mama and I went for a walk yesterday and I had to snap a picture of her sago palm. This is the first time it has had this bloom in the center.
I looked it up and found out that this one is a female plant. The male plants produce a cone shaped bloom. The bloom is interesting and has a pretty shape, but the color is very unappealing. Hopefully one of her others will turn out to be a male plant.

See that yucky brown carpet she's laying on? Hopefully it will be gone soon! I can't wait to start on our renovation and I really can't wait to see my vision come to life! Soon.....very soon!

Officially the cutest pic of Sadie yet. She naps like our Willie with what we call the vampire grin! Love the tote - perfect for your cruise. The coral with the aqua is quite pretty. Tell Joey he can tie the knots on his tote anyway he pleases. Sadly the sago palms around the neighborhood did not survive the ice.

Ummm... You MADE that bag?!?! I am in awe of your talent, that came out AWESOME!!! I love, love, love it! Love the rope handles with the knots, and the coral! My dog sleeps on her back like that, too! I had never seen a dog that slept like that until we got her, she is just a puppy, but she's going to be a BIG girl. She's a Pyrador (half Great Pyrenees and half Lab.)

We have been working in the yard the last few days and I have been canning jams, syrups and spaghetti sauce. This girl needs a nap or another mini vacation. :)
