Vintage Office Supplies!
I wanted to share a couple of vintage goodies that I acquired this week for free! My hubby asked me the other day if I had any use for this item you see below. They have been cleaning out an office space at work and this item was destined for the trash.....until he asked me if I wanted it! Any idea what it is?
If you guessed it was a rolodex, you are right! I had never seen one like this before, so I looked it up to see what it might be worth and found several of them. I am trying to decide if I am keeping it or selling it. It is really cool, but I just don't know. It was from the old water billing office, so there are hundreds of addresses in it. I found my uncle's name when I was flipping through them. Another thing I can't decide is whether or not to replace the cards if I keep it. There are several missing as you can see in the photo below, but the old, yellowed cards have so much character. I really have no use whatsoever for this piece, but it is just really interesting. I'm pretty sure I will keep it for now.
The other thing he rescued was this vintage metal file box. It is pretty good size and is meant to hold the large size index cards. I am definitely keeping this piece, but can't decide whether to paint it or not. I kind of like the grey...:)
I know this was a short post tonight, but like I said earlier this week, it's been a long one and I am just drained. I have been trying to walk as much as possible after work each day and have been eating really healthy this week.....mostly whole foods. No sugar and very little flour, lots of fruit and veggies as well as a little meat, dairy, and eggs. It has been tough, but I have done really well and have lost 8 pounds in 3 days! I'm hoping to lose a few more before my cruise in June...:) Hopefully I can do it! Anywho, I need to get back to finishing my son's graduation invitations. I am finishing putting the party invites together to include in some of the invitations. Thankful that tomorrow is Friday and I'll have a couple days off! My daughter, Miranda is coming home for Mother's Day and I am thrilled! I am also excited to visit with my sweet cousin Saturday who is down visiting from Canada. We have a fun mini family reunion planned...:)
I hope you have a fabulous Friday! Until next time.....
