What better way to ring in the new year than creating another blog! I have been wanting to do this for quite a while now and am finally doing it! Hi....I'm Vicky and I'm a wife, mom, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, teacher, and friend.....but most importantly, I am a child of God! This little blog is where I am going to share all the things I love about my life....which is lots of different things! It may be a new recipe I've tried one day, a post about my family another, or sharing some of the "treasures" I find when I'm thrifting or have been to a good yard sale! Speaking of....this is one of my most favorite things to do. There is nothing like it.....the thrill of the hunt! I get more excited over finding that perfect treasure that most men get when they see the monster buck they have been waiting for all their life....lol! Seriously though, I hope you will come back and visit me on Willie Mae Lane often....I love visitors! Life On Willie Mae Lane got it's name from the road I live on....I live on a small piece of my grandparents old homestead. My granny's name was Willie Mae.....true story! Don't ask me why her mother gave her a boy name, but she did....and I loved her dearly. She was one of the sweetest, most gentle spirits I have ever known and I miss her so much. I hope granny is smiling down from heaven now that she's famous! Here are a couple of pictures of her.
The first one is when she was 16 years old and dating my grandpa Andrew. They were such a good-looking couple! She's on the left in the second picture and my other precious granny is on the right. Pauline was her name and she was every bit as wonderful as my Granny Willie Mae!
Two beautiful ladies....both inside and out!
So...that's how I named this blog! I was sitting in my craft room (which I will feature tomorrow) and trying to come up with something creative when it hit me! I am so happy with the name and I think it is perfect for this blog since I am featuring my life here on Willie Mae Lane...:) Thanks for stopping by and please come back and visit again....
Be Blessed,
Just checking something...:)

Life On Willie Mae Lane"
Hi. The name of your blog grabbed my attention because my grandmother was also Willie Mea! Can you believe that? She was named a boys name because she was the fifth girl in her family and her father wanted a William. She was born in the year 1900. I've enjoyed exploring your blog!
