Three Side Tables & a Few Thrifty Finds

As promised, I am here to share my living room side tables that I have been working on. I used lots of my thrifty finds to decorate these tables, as well as a few items from my home decor stash. I move things around a lot and finally have a space in the guest room closet to store things when they are not in use. I will share that area soon! If you read yesterday's post, you read that I have been decorating the living room with touches of silver and gold. I raided the house looking for things to use on the side tables.

This round table got the decorative word Faith added to it. I also have Love...it will make an appearance soon for Valentine's Day. It is gold in color...and the coaster is silver.
The apothecary jar holds some white silk hydrangeas and sits atop a vintage Webster's Book of Synonyms.

Another table holds a $0.49 gold candle pedestal holding a $0.99 candle (free to me though). The books sit on a gold box which was actually the box the perfume my son bought me for Christmas came in. It was too pretty to throw away so I used it to add some height on this table. I love my little Ikea lantern and wish I had bought a couple more. Next time...:)

I really like my thrifty gold decor!

The last table I am sharing holds the tray I thrifted back in December for just $1, as well as a few other thrifty finds. I bought the little gold leafy tree quite a while back and just love it. I just realized I need to put a tealight in my new to me little silver tealight holder.

A closer view of the vignette.

I love this $0.29 beauty....:)

I also have a few other thrifty finds to share. I got all of this the same day I got the two candle holders mentioned above. I just told you about my vintage beehive cannister the other day and was thrilled to find another one for just $1.49. It has a clear lid but is otherwise the same.

A chunky wooden candlestick. I use these as pedestals for various projects. I like to have them in my stash, especially when you can get them for $1 or less.

This little brass cone was with the Christmas things. Not sure what I will do with it...yet. For $0.49 I couldn't pass it up though.

Two sets of Christmas napkin rings for under $1.

Two adorable miniature Santa mugs for $0.29 each. They will be used in ornaments I am working on for my future Etay store.

See how small they are...about an inch tall!

This little pillow ornament has seen better days, but for $0.10 I bought it just for the pretty crystal and pearl beads on the bottom. They are pretty big.

A sweet little angel to go inside a Christmas ornament for $0.10.

A sheer curtain panel for $0.75 I bought just because I am collecting sheer panels with different designs for a future project...:) I know this makes the third design...maybe fourth. I need to check!

Last thing I bought was this brand new aqua blue wall mount light fixture. You can tell it had glass in it originally. I thought I could use vellum or rice paper in it or just leave it open. It was only $1.99. I even considered using it for candles. What do you think....any ideas?
It is pretty large....probably about 15 inches or so.

Well...that's it for today folks!
I pray each of you has a blessed day and week.
As always.....

  2. You find the most amazing treasures Vicky. Maybe I need to go to your neck of the woods and bring your shopping with me. Of course, I lack the 'eye' and special talent it takes to creates such pretty spaces. I love reading your decorating posts. You are so creative!
