Pink Perfection

I love the color pink.....do you?
It has always been one of my favorite colors, although I don't really wear pink much because it doesn't work well with my complexion. I don't really decorate with it much either, although I do have several touches of pink in my craft room. When I have the opportunity to bring in the pink in the form of fresh flowers, I am all for it! Just look at this big beauty I picked off my mother-in-law's camellia bush today. Isn't it just gorgeous?

Her variety produces much larger blooms than mine. I really want one like this in my yard and am going to try rooting one off hers. I love the size and color of the blooms. Look at the variegated shades of pink and white on the inner petals.

And the outer petals look like skirts or tutu's...love!

Another recent pinkalicious find was this sweet cranberry dish I thrifted for a mere $0.49 which some of you may have seen here

It is just so pretty sitting on my guest room windowsill for now.

I'm joining How Sweet the Sound for Pink Saturday for the first time ever and am excited to go visit some of the other link-ups. Be sure to hop over there and check it out!
Have a sweet Sunday my friends.....:)

  3. Wow, I love that cranberry color on the glass piece - I have some pale pink glass pieces but may need to look for this deeper color, it's beautiful! That camellia bloom is stunning! I would love to know how your "rooting experiment" comes out :)

  5. I'm amazed at the camellia Vicky. What a pretty flower and I can't believe with all this horrible weather that you found such a beauty. We, or at leat I, have not had such luck with those gorgeous flowers in South FL.

I love pink too but it isn't "my" color :)

  6. My camellias have yet to bloom. Yours are beautiful. Set one in the pink bowl or does the pinks clash? I can't wait for summer and my climbing pink roses. Actually I can't wait to be warm again!

  8. As a child, we had massive camelia bushes in our yard. I wonder if we can grow them in our sandy soil? I love camelias.

    Thanks for getting me thinking.

  10. Happy Pink Saturday, Vicky. I know I am late, but I am still trying to visit. I am so glad you decided to join us, and I hope you will continue.

Camellias are one of my favorites, and this one is a beauty. I have five large bushes on one side of our house, and this year they have had to endure much colder than usual temps. They seem to be hanging in, and that makes me happy.
