A Simple Christmas Table

Hello there!

I thought I would take advantage of being home sick today and write a blog post.
I have been seeing so many beautiful vignettes around blogland. The ones I love the most used greenery, natural elements, a lot of white, and touches of red. I decided to remove my latest tablescape today and replaced it with just a centerpiece incorporating these elements.

I love the crisp, clean look of red, white, and green.

A vintage Christmas tree apothecary jar filled with chewy peppermints fits right in.

My milk glass vases filled with candy canes had to be removed from my TV stand to make room for the hubby's new big screen. They found a new home here....for now! Some glittery red berries and an upside down dessert dish (clearance at TJ Maxx last year) complete the sides of the centerpiece.

I used a milk glass pedestal vase filled with a topiary I got from Ikea last summer, a milk glass vase filled with candy canes, and the apothecary jar which is sitting on a white candle pedestal for the center. I love how it looks. Just what I was going for.

I added a glittery Merry Christmas I had on hand, and of course, my Scrabble tile trays...with peace and joy spelled out.

I'm happy with how it turned out.
Clean and simple...:)

What do you think?

This sure wasn't the best week for me to get sick! Hopefully it won't last long. I'm off to take more medicine and rest for a bit. I am excited to go down to my Aunt Loretta's house later to visit with one of my cousins and his family who are here from Utah for Christmas. I haven't seen them in years! Hope you all have a wonderful week!

Until next time.....

  1. I do hope you are well soon. Last year, everyone in our family got a 2 day flu so it stretched out for over a week before everyone was well. It definitely spoiled Christmas.

    Your table looks lovely!

  7. Your table looks beautiful Vicky! I love the red and white. You and Sherry are really making me want to get my milk glass vases out, but with 4 cats it's hard to use them. I hope you're feeling better very soon.

  14. Your candy cane is a great idea!! I had a cold a few weeks back and shared with two other people!! It wasn't overly pleasant, but I do think its worse having a cold in summer than winter!! Get well soon.
